1827 Maudslay's Paddle Steamer Engine Airfix 8870
Although concieved as early as 1785, the oscillating cyclinder engine did not appear until 1827 when Joseph Maudslay unveiled his example. in 1828 this type of engine was fitted to the Thames Paddle Steamer 'Endeavor' which plied between London and Richmond.
